The Beginnings of Cartridge World
Cartridge World has a history spanning over 20 years; demonstrating our expertise in providing low cost, high quality printer cartridges. Over the years we’ve won many awards, both for our franchise structure, our dedication to operating in an environmentally friendly manner and for our encouragement of other individuals and businesses to do the same.
Cartridge World Significant Events
1988: Bryan Stokes, founder of Cartridge World, saw an advert in the South Australian Advertiser for Australian Laser Charge and signed up to a course to learn how to refill laser cartridges. He was taught how to refill two laser toner cartridges and commenced business in his garden shed.
1992: Stokes joined forces with Paul Wheeler, who had an impressive background in franchising, finance and management. Together they planned the franchising structure of Cartridge World.
1997: The first Cartridge World franchise was sold and others sold in rapid succession.
2001: The first franchise in the UK was established by David Parkinson in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
2011: Over the years, the network of shops has continued to develop and grow, and as a result there are now more than 1,400 stores worldwide.
2014: Cartridge World launches Print Services which provides a flexible range of printing solutions to meet the needs of businesses.
