How to reset the Brother DR2400 Drum Counter

When installing a new Brother DR2400 drum unit, your laser printer might not recognise when a new one has been installed and will continue to show “Replace Drum” with the new unit. Whether you are using an original Brother drum or a Cartridge World compatible DR2400 version, a prompt will need to be given to reset an internal counter for another 12,000 estimated pages.

Thankfully this prompt is easy to enter, regardless of the model of your Brother laser printer. However, if you have had any use out of a DR2400 drum before resetting, please be aware that print quality may deteriorate before the warnings next time.
