Printer Testing - Print Test Pages

Printer performing poorly? Do you need to print a test page?

We have a few PDF printer test pages available for download if you're looking to print a test page online.

You can accurately evaluate and calibrate your printer's performance by printing test pages. You can use it to verify the print quality of your printer (and cartridges) and to identify any potential problems with the printer.

A printer test sheet can be used to find problems like these:

Clogged printheads: While there are several reasons why these might become blocked, the ink cartridge and printer head drying out is the most frequent one. If you don't use your printer frequently, this could happen very regularly. To prevent dirt and debris from getting on your printer when it's not in use, we advise covering it. This will lessen the likelihood of the printer heads being clogged.

Alignment problems: Cartridges sitting unevenly can cause alignment to fail in any printer, whether it be an HP or a Brother. If your printer cannot properly align the printed pages or if a "alignment failed" error message appears, then

that serves as a hint of this.

Uneven ink flow: If your inkjet printer has been sitting idle for a while, the printheads may become clogged or the ink in and around the printer cartridge may have dried out, resulting in uneven ink flow. To make sure that the ink is flowing into your printer without any problems, use our colour test page to check the quality of your printer's ink.

Printer status: If your printer prints test pages without any problems but not other documents, you may be sure that a system communication problem, not a mechanical printer problem, is to blame. If this is the case you will need to re-install the printer drivers on your computer.

Below, you can download two different kinds of printer test pages together with a step-by-step tutorial. a test page in colour or in grayscale.
