At Cartridge World every aspect of our daily business is focused upon creating a zero waste society. Operating in an environmentally responsible manner has huge benefits on our local economy not just in terms of recycling, but also jobs and education.
Here are a number of ways that Cartridge World help:
Our remanufactured toner cartridges are produced locally in your area, compared to a printer manufactures cartridge which are mass produced overseas and sold by local retailers.
Empty plastic ink and toner bottles are broken down by ‘Carbon Eagle’ and remanufactured into other plastic products such as paint trays, buckets and roofing ventilation!
Waste ink and toner bottles are collected by ACE recycling and supplied to Centriforce Products Ltd, who convert them from plastic waste into high performance recycled plastic products such as garden decking, fencing and railings, along with garden furniture.
Disused ink and toner cartridges are recycled by ‘Carbon Eagle’, who supports the local community with employment and skills training.
Worn and discarded toner cartridge parts (such as wiper/doctor blades and drums) are recycled through local metal recyclers.
Aluminium and steel components are then recycled and used in other industries, such as the automotive Industry, which reduces their reliance on new raw materials and components.
Electrical waste is recycled through the EasyWEEE network with each store acting as a collection point.
